Clinical nursing

Every nursing service we deliver

Each of these is delivered at home by registered or enrolled nurses. Open any one for what it involves, when people ask for it, and how it is funded.

Need something that is not on this list? Call 0414 562 845. If we can do it we will say so, and if we cannot we will tell you who can.

Simple to start, easy to live with

From your first call to your first visit, we keep the process light so care can start quickly.

  1. 1

    Talk to us

Call or send a referral. We listen, check funding eligibility and answer your questions honestly.

  2. 2

    Plan your care

A nurse visits to assess needs, write a care plan with you and agree on visit times.

  3. 3

    Care begins

Your nurse or carer arrives as scheduled, documents every visit and keeps your family informed.

Funding

Which pathway applies to you?

Pick the line that sounds most like you and we will show you how that care is usually funded.

Do you hold a DVA Gold or White Card?

DVA Community Nursing

  • In most cases there is no cost to you
  • A GP or hospital referral starts it off
  • We handle the DVA paperwork and reporting
  • White Card holders are covered for accepted conditions
Check DVA eligibilityNot sure? Call 0414 562 845 and we will work it out with you.

What actually happens at a visit

Every visit follows the same shape, whether it is fifteen minutes for a dressing change or a two-hour personal care shift.

We arrive in a window

You get a time window rather than a vague promise, and a call if traffic is against us. Our nurses carry identification and will show it without being asked.

We check in first

Before anything clinical, we ask how you have been since the last visit. Most changes worth acting on come out in that conversation, not in the observations.

The care itself

Delivered to your written care plan, at your pace. If something needs longer than the visit allows, we say so and arrange it rather than rushing it.

We document and hand over

Every visit is documented the same day. Your GP, your funding body and the family members you nominate see what they need to see.

What we will not do

Being clear about the edges of a service is more useful than claiming to do everything.

  • We are not an emergency service. In an emergency call 000
  • We do not prescribe. That stays with your GP or specialist
  • We will not take on care we cannot staff safely and consistently
  • We do not lock you into a minimum term
  • We will not send a stranger without telling you first
  • We do not charge for the initial conversation or the home assessment
